Maria is the founder and artisan behind Oro Vegetal, a brand that combines her love of jewelry and her fascination with the natural world. With a degree in Art History and a member of a family of jewellers, María discovered her vocation at a young age. At the age of 19 he began working with his family, where he learned the secrets of the trade: the delicate art of setting, soldering and creating pieces in silver and gold. This early experience, coupled with his academic background, shaped his ability to appreciate both precision and beauty in every detail.
Over time, her search for authenticity led her to explore organic materials. It was then that, in a revealing coincidence, he crossed paths with Capim Dourado in 2010. This golden plant, also known as "vegetable gold", aroused in Mary a deep admiration. Its vibrant color and malleability allowed it to glimpse a new form of jewelry, closer to nature and the essence of craftsmanship. Maria trained with skilled artisans, learning how to work each golden fiber and understanding the magic behind this unique material.
Since then, María has dedicated her career to perfecting the art of working with Capim Dourado, adapting each design to current trends and leaving her unmistakable style in each piece.
