Jordi Perelló Distilleries - We have been making artisanal liqueurs since 1882 in Mallorca, following traditional recipes. Our brands: 3 Caires, Prohibido, Hierbas de Mallorca and Garrot.

Our family's liqueur tradition began in 1882, when we left winemaking after the phylloxera plague to devote ourselves fully to the manufacture of liqueurs in Llubí, Mallorca. Since then, we have followed ancestral recipes to create products such as brandy, rum, dried anise and others. In 1999, we moved to modern facilities in Calvià, where we maintain artisanal production with our brands.

Description

Our liquor history began in 1882, when the phylloxera plague devastated the vineyards of Europe, including those of our family in Llubí, Mallorca. Faced with this challenge, we abandoned wine production and turned to the manufacture of spirits. That same year, our first batches of brandy (then known as cognac), rum, Bendito liqueur and dried anise (cazalla), among others, were produced, made in an artisanal way in two houses that we adapted as a factory. Production continued in Llubí until 1940, when the need for expansion took us to Palma. In 1999, we moved to Calvià, to modern facilities designed specifically for the winery and factory. Since then, we have kept the tradition alive, faithfully respecting the recipes passed down from generation to generation. Today, our brands 3 Caires, Prohibido, Hierbas de Mallorca and Garrot are a reflection of our commitment to quality, authenticity and the family legacy that we have preserved for more than a century.

3 Caires

Tres Caires is a historic brand of the Jordi Perelló distillery that symbolises Mallorca's liqueur tradition. Its origin dates back more than 100 years, standing out especially for its emblematic Anís 3 Caires. This liqueur is made following a traditional and artisanal recipe, using centuries-old stills and distillation processes that can last more than 15 hours. The triangular bottle, designed in 1895 and patented in 1927 by Jordi Perelló Serra, is an iconic symbol of the brand.

Tres Caires Extra Dry Anise

The history of dried anise or cazalla 3 Caires dates back more than 100 years. It is distilled without adding chemicals, maintaining its purity and quality. Its versatility makes it ideal for both direct consumption and culinary uses, such as in the preparation of traditional sweets.

Anisette Tres Caires

This sweet liqueur is based on the Pimpinella anisum plant, brought to the Mediterranean by the Arabs. Popular at Christmas festivities, it is also key to creating Mallorcan Herbs.

Three Caires Anise Limited Edition

A gourmet version created in 2008 after years of research. With a distillation process of more than 30 hours, it offers a dry, persistent flavor and a clean and intense aroma, positioned as one of the most refined anise on the market.

Mesclat Blanc Tres Caires

A mixture of dry and sweet anise, typical of the north of Mallorca. It is very popular in celebrations such as San Antonio and San Sebastián. It is recommended to consume cold or with ice.

Herbs of Mallorca

Hierbas de Mallorca, from the Jordi Perelló distilleries, is an emblem of the island's liqueur tradition, offering an aniseed spirit that captures the aromas and flavours of Mallorcan flora. These herbs are made with native plants such as fennel, rosemary, lemon verbena, chamomile, lemon, orange and lemon balm, following recipes inherited from the monasteries where the friars prepared spirits with herbs and fruits. The herbs are harvested in the early morning, in May or on St. John's Day, and macerated for a minimum of 60 days before being mixed with anise distilled in centuries-old pot stills.

Forbidden and Garrot Brands: Tradition and Innovation

Prohibido and Garrot represent the ability of the Jordi Perelló distilleries to combine history, craftsmanship and creativity in unique products that stand out in the market.

FORBIDDEN

Gin 3 Or Prohibido: Distilled in copper stills, this gin combines high-quality nebrinas, coriander, and botanicals with a distinctive Mediterranean twist. Its aroma is clean and its flavor, soft and delicate, make it a real treasure.
Forbidden Vodka: This premium vodka, triple distilled in small glass stills, resurfaces as a tribute to a time when its commercialization was restricted in Spain due to its high alcohol content of 65º. Despite the restrictions, it was successfully exported to Finland and competed with the best Russian vodkas.
Ron Prohibido: A rum aged for 10 years in oak casks that previously stored brandy, made with cane molasses and a prolonged rest in traditional barrels. Its intense flavor with notes of cinnamon, coffee and wood, along with its limited production, make it an artisanal jewel.

Garrot

Garrot Tres Caires, also known as palo, is a traditional Mallorcan liqueur made with natural ingredients such as cinchona, gentian, burnt sugar and aromatic seeds. Following a classic recipe without artificial additives, it keeps the spirit of Mallorcan tradition alive.
