Description

Monsina is an artist who has been dedicated to painting for many years, the love for porcelain has been her latest addition. They are unique designs inspired by nature and the Mediterranean.

Monsina Rosselló lived in Heidelberg from 1992 to 1994, in Paris in 1991 and London in 1990.

He began in Munich in 1995 as part of the creative project

"Lebensmittel auf Rädern" for Papp GmbH

&CoKG.

He returned to Mallorca in 1996 and began in the painting academies of Ignacio Sierra and later in the painting school of Ximena Yutronic and in the painting and movement workshops of Susana Volosín.

He currently has his own workshop in Agroturismo Son Siurana, Alcudia, and in Palma. Her work is developed within the MONSÚN Project.

Monsún was born from a passionate idea, affection, inspiration and the need to help those who need it most through the best thing we know it does, Art.

Art with the hands, with brushes, with the mind and the heart... but above all with love...

Nerikomi porcelain

Nerikomi is an artistic technique in ceramics. The name derives from the traditional Japanese technique that creates patterns with colored clay. Nerikomi means kneading (neri) and mixed or tucked (komi), that is, it is the ceramic technique that combines clays of different colors with a defined pattern.

Why is Monsina created?

In about 2000 I asked myself, Why do I dedicate so much time to painting? It didn't take me long to think about how happy it made me feel.

My grandmother Tinons, she painted daily, it was her life. She has been my role model.

Painting becomes an addiction, at night you give the last brushstroke or add a last layer of paint. In the morning, the work has dried, it has evolved.

At the moment I live fascinated with ceramics. Touching mud with your hands is simple and exciting.

Working ceramics becomes another game only in another dimension; You play with oxides, enamels, an oven and drying times and above all a challenge to patience.
