The product begins to be made with the making of the pattern. First the patterns of the models are made, although the different raw materials are gathered and then production begins with the cutting of the skins, then it is moved to the section where the different pieces of leather are joined with a stitch to the sole also cut with a pattern.
Achieving with the assembly of the back strips with rubber and rubber glue, these are placed on the same sole because later, all that remains is to add a more resistant and durable floor to the sole, review and package the product.
In 1952 "Juma", her first brand of sneakers, was created, when the marriage formed by Magdalena's brother, Josep Camps and Juanita Marquès, entered the business. Then the factory moved to another premises on the same street where it went until 2009, when they moved the manufacture to the Ciutadella Industrial Estate. An agreement was also signed with a representative to sell their brand's footwear throughout Spain and they began to produce street shoes.
Although the company also manufactured sneakers for others or with its own brand, since 1992 a wide range of avarcas was created, which are already the symbol of identity of Avarca Pons. All models, both for men and women and children, have the original essence of the avarcas, a shoe with more than a hundred years of tradition, comfortable and resistant, which has its roots in the rural world, but has been reinvented to become a product for those looking for comfort and style to wear at any time of the day.
At this time, the founders' son, Joan Pons Camps, assumed sole ownership of the business with the financial support of his sister Margarita. Over the years, his wife Laia Camps joined the business.
There are three generations of the same family that have been part of Avarca Pons, since two of Joan Pons' sons, Jose Luis and Dani Pons Camps, have also started working and currently run the management of the company in equal parts.
Finally, it should be noted that since 2019 they have a store on Avenida del Capitán Negrete, 44.
