Description

Crisol was born in 1945 when our grandfather, Cristóbal Soler, made the first production of sobrasada with black pigs fattened by himself.

Since then, four generations of the family have been involved in the expansion and modernization of the company, without ever losing sight of the fact that quality and natural processing are the hallmarks of our products.

Currently, we work in our factory in Consell, respecting the ancestral production technique defined by our grandfather and that we have updated and improved with the passage of time and experience.

Our goal is to offer quality processed products, which is why we rely on extensive and sustainable livestock farms, and we supervise the entire production process first-hand.

Our desire is to continue offering a local, safe product with a guarantee of quality without abandoning the roots that have led us here.

Our Products

At Crisol we offer differentiated products – thanks to their natural formulation – and made exclusively with fresh pork from Mallorca and Spain.

All our products are natural: no colourings, no preservatives, no stabilisers, no added additives and no ripening regulators. In addition, all our preparations are free of allergens.

History

The origins of our company date back to 1945, when our grandfather Cristóbal Soler carried out the first production of sobrasada with black pigs fattened by himself.

A decade later, his two youngest sons inaugurated the first Crisol plant and, in the mid-70s, the company opened up to the national market, taking advantage of the growth of the tourism sector and a technological improvement in the sausage production process.

In 1994, coinciding with the creation of the Protected Geographical Indication Sobrasada de Mallorca (of which we are founding members), we inaugurated a new plant for the production and curing of sobrasada, and the third generation of the family took over the management of the company.

In 2013, coinciding with the incorporation of the fourth generation of the family, we promoted a transversal modernisation plan that included an improvement of our facilities, greater food safety and projection towards the foreign market, and culminated in the achievement of the IFS FOOD quality certificate.

Facilities

In our 2,500 m2 facilities we produce Sobrasada de Mallorca and Sobrasada de Mallorca de Cerdo Negro (certified and protected by the Sobrasada de Mallorca Regulatory Council) as well as typical sausages of the island (camallot, varia and botifarrón).

At Crisol we supervise the entire production process and are committed to the best meat raw material. That is why we cut the pigs in our facilities.
