At Crisol we offer differentiated products - because of their natural formulation - made exclusively with fresh pork from Mallorca and Spain.
All our products are 100% natural: no colourings, no preservatives, no stabilisers, no added additives and no maturation regulators. In addition, all our products are allergen-free.
The origins of our company date back to 1945, when our grandfather Cristóbal Soler carried out the first production of sobrasada with black pigs fattened by himself.
A decade later, his two younger sons opened the first Crisol factory and, in the mid 1970s, the company opened up to the national market, taking advantage of the growth of the tourist sector and a technological improvement in the sausage production process.
In 1994, at the same time as the creation of the Protected Geographical Indication “Sobrasada de Mallorca” (of which we are founding members), we opened a new sobrasada production and curing plant, and the third generation of the family took over the management of the company.
In 2013, coinciding with the incorporation of the fourth generation to the company, we promoted a transversal modernisation plan that included an improvement of our facilities, greater food safety and projection towards the foreign market, and culminated with the achievement of the IFS FOOD quality certificate.
In our 2,500 m² facilities we produce Sobrasada de Mallorca and Sobrasada de Mallorca de Porc Negre (certified and protected by the Regulatory Board Sobrasada de Mallorca) as well as typical sausages of the island (camallot, varia and botifarrón).
At Crisol we supervise the entire production process and we are committed to using the best meat raw product. For this reason, we cut the pigs in our own facilities.
